Did you plan a whole outdoor experience, but the weather doesn't play along? Don't worry - even in bad weather there is still a lot to experience around Lake Chiemsee. Bring your rain jacket and umbrella and keep on exploring.

Here are a few tips for days when rain clouds cover the legendary blue and white sky. Visiting the gallery of the Chiemsee painters on Herrenchiemsee is possible 364 days a year. Many museums and art collections are also open all year round. The Chiemgau-Arena, formerly a rich salt trading region and later one of the first artists' colonies in Europe, has a lot to offer to those interested in history.
