Alpine circular trail Refreshment stop: Wuhrsteinalm (currently closed) Special features: quiet, lonely ascent Description: Alternative route to the direct ascent to the Wuhrsteinalm. From the Geigelstein car park in Ettenhausen, take a forest road towards Rudersburg until you reach a turnoff on the right, "Wuhrsteinalm via Grießelbergsteig". There is an information board for this trail. It goes uphill in many switchbacks to the forest road. Here, take the forest road to the right until you reach the upper edge of the forest, then cross the alpine pasture, following the red and white posts to the "Karlweg". There, take a short stretch to the right until you reach the Wuhrsteinalm (currently not open). Back to the starting point at the Geigelstein car park, there are well signposted paths along the forest road towards Ettenhausen. This tour is suitable for all sporty types as a quick round trip.
