After a short hike along the road, the path leads up to the Achberg car park in the direction of the Streichenkirche and the Berggasthof am Streichen. The climb now leads through an extensive alpine area. The steep "Kroatensteig" then leads over the saddle at the "Rauhe Nadel" and down to the Taubensee and the German-Austrian border, marked by an old border guard's house. After a few minutes, you reach the Taubenseehütte (1165 m). Located high above the valley of Kössen, you can expect a wonderful panoramic view of the much-praised Zahmen (2001m) and Wilder Kaiser (highest point - Ellmauer Halt at 2344m). From there, we head down to the neighboring town of Kössen/Tirol to the local tourist information office. There we get on the 9509 bus at the "VZ Kaiserwinkl" bus stop in the direction of Schleching. After a short drive, we reach the destination stop "Ettenhausen Zollamt". Bus connection 9509 from Kössen to Schleching (cross-border Austria - Germany): www.dbregiobus-bayern.de
