This tour is a good alternative to the Geigelstein, as the snow conditions on the summit ridge are often better. There are some beautiful but steep descents down to the Wuhrstein Alm when the snow conditions are safe. The 3-hour route starts at the bottom of the Geigelsteinbahn in Schleching and runs along the unprepared piste, past the former Breitenstein mountain hotel and the Wuhrstein Alm, up to the Wirtsalm. From there, the route goes up to the ridge on the left. The route then branches off to the left over the so-called Käferlschneid to the summit with the cross. The descent is the same as the ascent.
