Tour description:
From the Tourist Info head west via Weitseestraße / Unterbergstraße along the Dosbach river in the Loferau to the Krautloidersteg bridge, across the Lofer river in the direction of Benzeck to Alt-Blindau.
Here it goes to a small pond, further over the children's playground east to the parking lot Hindenburghütte. Then the path leads us to the hotel "Gut Steinbach" and here over a meadow path to the Steinbachweg.
Following the Steinbachweg it goes over the Loferbrücke bridge to the intersection at the B 305, turning left, we walk about 150 to 200 m next to the road along the path and cross the road to turn right to the Wimmerkreuz and finally back to the starting point.
Special features: in the Loferau wild river area, in Alt-Blindau "Maria Hilf" chapel with rococo altar built in 1855, near Hotel Gut Steinbach ski jumps and game reserve.
Shortcut: From Loferbrücke bridge via Schmiedweg to the town center.

Coming from Munich or Salzburg on the Munich - Salzburg motorway (A8 to Grabenstätt exit no. 109), continue towards Marquartstein and on the well-developed German Alpine Road (B305) to Reit im Winkl.
