Traunstein's smallest brewery with the largest beer garden
The 14th generation of the Wochinger family has been brewing in the Sudhaus, the traditional brewery founded in Lower Bavaria in 1587 and based in Traunstein since 1892.
Today, the brothers Theo and Rudi Wochinger stand for the quality of their handcrafted beers, which get their spicy taste in the directly fired brew kettle.
The best raw materials, short delivery routes and constant freshness make it possible for Wochinger beers to pamper the connoisseur's palate. You can taste that the beers are gently filtered and produced without thermal preservation. You can test this, for example, in the “Wochinger Brauhaus”, which is only a few minutes away from the center of Traunstein. Here, guests enjoy Bavarian and Mediterranean specialties from a rich buffet. Only local products are used in the kitchen, crunchy salads and freshly harvested vegetables directly from the farmer and meat products from the Chiemgau.
The large shady beer garden offers a wonderful place under its chestnut trees to meet up with friends on warm summer days and enjoy a good time outdoors.

Closed every Monday from October 1st to May 1st. Open all summer long.
