Grassau is celebrating a special anniversary: its 900th birthday - a milestone that will be celebrated in style with an unforgettable cultural festival from 27 to 29 June. Over three days, the town will be transformed into a lively festival landscape full of music, dance and regional traditions.
- Friday: The Grassau Music Roas - musical enjoyment at unique locations
Grassau will kick off the festival weekend with an atmospheric soundtrack. Six bands play at six different locations - in cosy inns as well as in the open air. From traditional folk music to modern sounds, there is something for every taste. - Saturday: The culture mile - an experience for all the senses
On Saturday, the town centre becomes a culture mile with numerous attractions. Art, crafts, music and dance fill the streets with life. Regional artists present their skills, while historical insights into Grassau's past tell exciting stories. - Sunday: Festive matinee at the Hefter - a festive finale
The festive matinee invites you to the Hefter-Kultursaal from 11 am for the grand finale. Not only will the town's anniversary be celebrated here, but also two other anniversaries: the music school and the Grassauer Bauernbühne theatre can also look back on many years of cultural activity. A musical and theatrical treat in a special ambience.
