Tour description:
From the starting point on path 12, always in the direction of Dürrnbachalmen and Dürrnbachhorn. Then you reach the pasture area of the Dürrnbachalmen. Here the hiking trail climbs steeply under the chairlift to the mountain station of the Dürrnbachhorn chairlift. We recommend an extension (an additional approx. 1 hour walk) to the Dürrnbachhorn - summit with a great view. Return via Wiesenweg no.112 (be careful when it is wet, there is a risk of slipping) via the Dürrnbachalmen and then no. 12 to the Winklmoos-Alm.
Special features: nice hike to the high altitude (1607m), nice view. On this tour you can use the free hiking bus. Please note the timetable!
Tip: avoid the descent via the meadow path when it is wet (risk of slipping). From the mountain station there is also the option of taking the nostalgic chairlift back to Winklmoos.
From the summit of the Dürrnbachhorn you have a wonderful and unforgettable panoramic view of the Alpine world of the Chiemgau and the Central Alps. A highlight for early risers is to enjoy a sunrise here.

Coming from Munich or Salzburg on the motorway Munich - Salzburg (A8 to Grabenstätt exit no. 109), continue in the direction of Marquartstein and on the well-developed German Alpine Road (B305) to Reit im Winkl.
At the entrance to the village (Entfelden) in the direction of Ruhpolding approx. 5 km to the Seegatterl district, then via the toll road from Seegatterl to the Winklmoos - Alm. Parking: -Klammweg, 83242 Reit im Winkl.
