Dürrnbachhorn Ridge Walk

From the starting point Seegatterl take path 111 and continue on path 112, always in the direction of Dürrnbachalmen and Dürrnbachhorn. After a little over 2 hours you reach the pasture area of the Dürrnbachalmen.

Here hiking trail No. 12 goes steeply up under the chairlift to the mountain station of the Dürrnbachhornbahn. The path then leads directly to the summit at an impressive 1776 m above sea level, where an alpine feeling is created.

From here the ridge hike begins for approx. 30 minutes. The path leads over a steep descent and a narrow path over the alpine meadows directly to the Finsterbachalm. The way back follows via path 111 over the Kohlstatt and finally back to the starting point Seegatterl.

Special features: beautiful long hike starting in the valley (765m) to the high altitude (1776), great views of lakes Weitsee, Mittersee and Lödsensee, as well as into the Chiemgau Alps to the Central Alps. This tour should not be taken when it is wet. Furthermore, good equipment is required, a good physical condition and a head for heights must be given in any case!
