Tour description:

We recommend taking the shuttle bus to the Hindenburghütte, which is subject to a fee. Ascent from there in the direction of Straubinger Haus / Fellhorn, path 15 over the Hemmersuppenalm past St. Anna's chapel. Same route as the Premiumweg Almgenuss until it turns to the Schuhmacherkreuz.

Then straight ahead on path no. 151 to the Straubinger Haus on the Eggenalm. From here a narrow climb (path no. 27) goes to the Fellhorn summit (1765 m). Descend the same way to the Straubinger Haus and via path number 153 back to the Hindenburghütte.

Special feature: view of the Hohe Tauern, Kaiser Mountains, Loferer Steinberge, Berchtesgaden Alps, Chiemgau Mountains. Beautiful alpine flora in spring, gentian blossoms (May-June), alpine rose blossoms.

Arrival by car

Coming from Munich or Salzburg on the Munich - Salzburg motorway (A8 to Grabenstätt exit no. 109), continue towards Marquartstein and on the well-developed German Alpine Road (B305) to Reit im Winkl. Drive from the village in the direction of Ruhpolding.

After approx. 1 km turn in the direction of Blindau and approx. 1 km to the Fellhornweg car park, 83242 Reit im Winkl.

Coming from Munich or Innsbruck on the Rosenheim - Innsbruck motorway (A93) to Oberaudorf (exit 59).

On to Walchsee, Kössen and Reit im Winkl. Drive from the village in the direction of Ruhpolding. After approx. 1 km turn in the direction of Blindau and approx. 1 km to the Fellhornweg car park, 83242 Reit im Winkl. Shuttle buses in the season from the car park.

Arrival by public transport

Connections to Reit im Winkl from Prien am Chiemsee train station (best bus connection!) by RVO bus line 9505.  Stop directly at the tourist information office.

From the Ruhpolding train station take the RVO line 9506. Tourist - Info stop.

For pedestrians from Seegatterl via the Nattersbergalm / Hindenburghütte: chargeable shuttle bus in the season from the tourist information office.
