From the Winklmoosalm parking lot, the family-friendly circular hike first leads on an asphalt forest road (path no. 12) to the idyllic alpine pastures of the Dürrnbachalmen . Homemade, very tasty cheese is available here at the Pötschkaser . From its small terrace you have a wonderful view of the Steinplatte and the Kaiser Mountains. Behind the Kaser lies the Dürrnbachhorn and the mountain restaurant, to which the chairlift also transports guests.
A little before the Pötschkaser, before the Dürrnbach, a narrow mountain path branches off the tarred road to the right. The beaten path leads over a knoll under the chairlift through a piece of forest. You hike through the shady high forest to the managedFinsterbachalm . After a break at this quiet, quaint Bavarian alpine pasture , where typical alpine snacks are offered, you take the wide, paved forest road back to the starting point. Keep going straight on until you hit the road that you already know from the ascent.

Coming from Munich or Salzburg on the Munich - Salzburg motorway (A8 to Grabenstätt exit no. 109), continue in the direction of Marquartstein and on the well-developed German Alpine Road (B 305) to Reit im Winkl.
At the entrance to the village (Entfelden) in the direction of Ruhpolding approx. 5 km to the Seegatterl district, then via the toll road from Seegatterl to the Winklmoos-Alm. Parking: -Klammweg, 83242 Reit im Winkl.
