Seehaus - Brander Alm - Hörndlalm - Jägersteig - Hörndlwand - Ostertal - Branderalm - Seehaus
Tour description:
From the summit of the Hörndlwand there is a 360 panoramic view from the Chiemsee over the Berchtesgaden, Loferer and Leogang Steinberge to the Wilder Kaiser. And in the background the Großglockner and Großvenediger are waiting when the visibility is good. From Seehaus over the path to the Branderalm and on through the shady mountain forest to the Hörndlalm. Surefootedness and a head for heights are essential on the following Jägersteig. Once on the plateau, you can walk through mountain pines to the summit without any problems. The descent through the steep Ostertal is impressive, but not exposed. You can't walk past the Branderalm a second time - so stop by - it's worth it!
