Tour description:

Starting point: Tourist - Info

We start from the Tourist - Info in the direction of the town center approx. 200 m, turn left twice and ride on the B 305 in the direction of Ruhpolding. After two short descents we cycle right over the bridge in the direction of Blindau. Continue left via the Steinbachweg to the cycle path to Seegatterl. From there we bike on path 112 on the forest road to the left of the toll station on the forest road to the Winklmoos - Alm.

Now we ride in the direction of hte Scheibelberg mountain up to Möseralm, descent to the Bäreck lift station via Fußtalstube uphill to the Loferer Alm.

An unforgettable mountain panorama of the surrounding mountains rewards us for our troubles. Then a descent of almost 1000 meters in altitude awaits us to Unken (not the normal road to Lofer but first to the left directly to Unken). From Unken continue towards the Heutal valley.

At the Friedlwirt we turn and continue uphill via the Schwarzberg gorge forest road to the Winklmoos Alm, from there on the forest road (uphill trail/ winter hiking trail in winter), back to Seegatterl and finally to Reit im Winkl.

Note: Long MTB tour, good physical condition is a prerequisite.

Coming from Munich or Salzburg on the federal autobahn Munich - Salzburg (A8 to Grabenstätt exit no. 109), continue in the direction of Marquartstein and on the well-developed German Alpine Road (B 305) to Reit im Winkl. Parking: -Dorfstr. 38 at the Tourist Info, 83242 Reit im Winkl, -Tirolerstrasse 37 at the Festsaal, 83242 Reit im Winkl.

From Munich or Innsbruck on the federal motorway Rosenheim - Innsbruck (A93) to Oberaudorf (exit no. 59). Continue to Walchsee, Kössen and Reit im Winkl. Parking: -Tirolerstrasse 37 at the Festsaal, 83242 Reit im Winkl, -Tourist - Info Dorfstrasse 38, 83242 Reit im Winkl.

Arrival by public transport

Connections to Reit im Winkl from Prien am Chiemsee train station (best bus connection!). With the RVO bus, line 9505.
