Forestry, alpine huts and livestock farming have shaped the landscape in Chiemgau for 500 years. In order for this landscape and important resource to be preserved, it is necessary that all user groups live an agreeable "Mitnand" (Bavarian for with each other).

Of course, we would all like to be “alone in the far hall”. But the fact is that we share the network of trails in the Chiemgau-Area with our fellow human beings. You are out and about with children, on foot or by bike, E-MTB or MTB, sporty or leisurely, often in need of relaxation. Some people get frightened when an MTB whizzes past them. Like you, they want a nice mountain experience. This works if everyone is polite, respectful and forward-looking.

Please adhere to the following rules:

  • Respect all road users
  • Keep the MTB under control at all times
  • Only drive on designated routes
  • Keep your distance from all animals
  • Leave no trace
