Tour description:

The starting point is the Achental Tourist Information in the old baths in Unterwössen. Drive towards the town centre and then turn left towards Schleching. After the Raitner Bridge, turn left immediately (watch out for the step) on the cycle path towards Schleching. The route leads through Mettenhamer Filzen and along the Tiroler Ache. Just before Mühlau, turn left towards Tiroler Ache and then along the Achendamm to the bridge at Ettenhausen. Turn left there onto the B307 over the Ache and after Wagrain, turn left immediately and go up towards the Streichen car park. At Achberg, keep right onto the forest road and turn left immediately after the lower Streichen car park (follow MTB 42). Follow the forest road to the Haideralm and then turn left at the junction towards Gscheuerwand. We keep straight on the forest road and from here we have the first beautiful views of the Achental. At the turnoff to the Gscheuerwand we can decide whether we want to make the detour and enjoy the wonderful view from the Gscheuerwand over the entire Achental. Otherwise we continue straight on towards Unterwössen. We will soon reach the highest point of the tour. From there we drive on the forest road, which is sometimes quite steep, always towards Unterwössen and back to the starting point.Tip: take your bathing suit with you and then make a short detour to the Wössner See and then jump in to cool off.Refreshment options: (with a detour) Chiemhauser Alm, Bonbon and Keksi in Mettenham
