The moderately difficult cross-country ski run stretches high up on the Winklmoosalm near Reit im Winkl . In the classic style, it's about five kilometers over the Winklmoosalm. Fantastic views are guaranteed here.
Starting at the mountain station of the gondola lift , you follow cross-country ski trail no. 7. Nestled in the Chiemgau Alps, the cross-border circular trail with some major climbs and descents leads over sunny plateaus and through snow-covered forests. Along the trail you will find two restaurants and a few alpine huts. Past a woodworker's room, the Mösererstube, which is reminiscent of old times, the trail leads back to the starting point.
Whether along the cross-country ski trail or at the starting point, a variety of rest stops await you on the Winklmoosalm . Strengthen yourself with a snack and make yourself comfortable in the cozy dining room.
From Munich or Salzburg on the federal motorway Munich - Salzburg (A8 to Grabenstätt exit no. 109), continue towards Marquartstein and on the well-developed German Alpine Road (B 305) to Reit im Winkl. At the entrance to the town (Entfelden) in the direction of Ruhpolding, approx. 5 km to the Seegatterl district. Parking:- Seegatterl, 83242 Reit im Winkl. From Munich or Innsbruck on the federal autobahn Rosenheim - Innsbruck (A 93) to Oberaudorf (exit no. 59), continue to Walchsee, Kössen and Reit im Winkl. Continue on the B 305 to Ruhpolding, approx. 5 km to the Seegatterl district. Parking:- Seegatterl, 83242 Reit im Winkl. From there you use the gondola to the Winklmoos-Alm.
Connections to Reit im Winkl from Prien am Chiemsee train station (best bus connection!!) Bus stop directly at the Tourist Info. With the shuttle bus (RVO) from the tourist information center every half hour to Seegatterl. The timetable can be found at www.reitimwinkl.de Connections to Reit im Winkl from Ruhpolding train station with the RVO line 9506. Stop: Seegatterl. From there you use the gondola to the Winklmoos-Alm.
