From the starting point, the Hammergraben hiking car park in Oberwössen (duration of ascent: approx. 1 1/2 hours), the path runs uphill in the direction of Burgaualmen. After you have caught a glimpse of the small church near the alpine pastures, after a turn-off to the left, continue through an alpine meadow and a bit through the forest until you come to the forest road (coming from Unterwössen ). This takes hikers to their destination: the Rechenbergalm.
Located on a steep southern slope, the Rechenbergalm awaits the hiker with the reward for his ascent: A special view and distant view over Oberwössen , the entire alpine pasture area and the surrounding mountains . In addition to these natural beauties, the Alm also offers a traditional snack . Homemade alpine cheese from the region and "homemade plum povesen" are the special delicacies and the house recommendation of the Rechenbergalm.
