Tour description:
Let's start at the parking lot of the former Geigelsteinbahn in Ettenhausen ( Schleching ). There you hike along the snow-covered forest road in the direction of the Wuhrsteinalm. The path takes you across snow-covered meadows and through white forests. Tobogganists can meet you on the way, as winter hikers and tobogganists share the forest road. Around 350 vertical meters have to be covered before you reach the Berghotel Breitenstein, the starting point of your toboggan ride.
Once at the top, a fantastic view of the Geigelstein, the surrounding Chiemgau Alps and the Tyrolean Kaisergebirge awaits you. After a few calming views of the mountains, it's off down the toboggan run.
The route initially runs flatter into the forest before the track becomes a bit more winding and steeper. You slowly pick up speed and follow the forest road towards the valley. After about three kilometers you will reach your starting point again.
