Achental hiking pin Checkpoints: Schnappenkirche, Staudacher AlmSpecial features: The Schnappenkirche, located at 1,100 meters, and the view from there over Lake Chiemsee. Description: The tour begins at the Holzlagerplatz hiking car park in Staudach-Egerndach. From there, a forest path leads first and then a beautiful climb towards the Schnappenkirche. This section of the route is shady and easy to walk even in summer. After about 2.5 km, you see the Schnappenkirche for the first time in front of you, which you reach straight away. It is worth taking a break on a bench there and enjoying the view over Lake Chiemsee. Before you continue, we recommend taking a look at the Schnappenkirche. The route continues along the not too steep climb to the Staudacheralm. While enjoying a traditional alpine snack or cake, you can enjoy the view of the Hochgern, the Zwölferspitz and the Hochlerch. The descent leads along a forest road, in the last section along the Alplbach back to Staudach-Egerndach.
