Snowshoe hike around Lake Rudersburger See

This snowshoe hike is suitable for beginners because it is quite flat and only small climbs have to be mastered. It offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. We start the tour at the Geigelsteinbahn car park in Ettenhausen and follow the path next to the car park slightly down towards Ettenhausen. After a few minutes you reach the cross-country ski trail and the winter hiking trail. Follow this hiking trail to the smugglers' trail and enjoy the view out of the valley. From the smugglers' path, turn left in the direction of Rudersburger See and continue hiking through the forest. Arrived at the lake you can see the rowing castle in front of you. We now circle the lake and turn left after one lap to get back up the smugglers' path. We follow this to the right for a short distance. Shortly before a bridge, we now turn onto a narrow path in the direction of Breitenstein and Wuhrsteinalm. It goes slightly downhill along the Maisbach and at the next crossroads we turn right. It is now slightly downhill back to the parking lot.
