Tour description:
You start your tour at the Seegatterl car park near Reit im Winkl . Past the motorhome parking space, the tour leads in the direction of the winter hiking trail to the Winklmoos Alm , which you leave in front of a striking rock face and continue up towards the Dürrnbachalmen . Past the alpine pastures, the tour continues towards Lemberg until you finally reach a steep slope. You pass this in several crossings to the mountain station of the nostalgic chairlift on the Dürrnbachhorn. Finally, it's about 150 meters until you reach the Dürrnbachhorn via a saddle (if there is little snow) or over the ridge (if there is enough snow, be careful: stay in the middle of the ridge!).
Follow your ascent track downhill again over the free slopes to the Dürrnbachalmen and finally on the ascent track to the Winklmoos Alm to the Roßalmlifts . From here we can either take the Roßalmlift up and use the ski run in the direction of Seegatterl, or we follow the small lift westwards to the crossover of the ski slope and take the main run.
Note: Pay attention to alpine dangers!
From the summit of the Dürrnbachhorn you have a wonderful and unforgettable panoramic view of the snow-covered alpine world of the Chiemgau, the Central Alps and the 3 lakes area with lake Weitsee, Lödensee and Mittersee.
Coming from Munich or Salzburg on the Munich - Salzburg motorway (A8 to Grabenstätt exit no. 109), continue towards Marquartstein and on the well-developed German Alpine road (B305) to Reit im Winkl.

Coming from Munich or Innsbruck on the Rosenheim - Innsbruck motorway (A93) to Oberaudorf (exit 59). On to Walchsee, Kössen and Reit im Winkl. At the entrance to the village (Entfelden) in the direction of Ruhpolding approx. 5 km to the Seegatterl district. Parking: -Seegatterl 83242 Reit im Winkl.
Connections to Reit im Winkl from the Prien am Chiemsee train station (best bus connection !!), stop directly at the tourist information office.
With the shuttle bus (RVO) from the tourist information center every half hour to Seegatterl.
