With two football golf courses, the Chiemgau offers a new leisure activity for families, friends and groups . The aim of this new trend sport is to shoot a soccer ball through natural and artificial obstacles with as few shot attempts as possible. As the name suggests, the rules are similar to golf, but instead of hitting with a golf club, you shoot with your own foot.
After receiving a little instruction and a game ball, the players are sent onto the track in small groups. The new leisure activity promises sports, games and fun for everyone of all ages.
The largest facility in Germany is in Inzell in the Chiemgau Alps. On more than 65,000 square meters there are two courses, each with 18 lanes , which differ in difficulty. Since at least two hours of playing time must be expected, the soccer park also offers a serviced alpine hut whose sun terrace with mountain views is ideal for a short break in between or a long break at the end of the day.
The second facility can be found directly on Lake Waging (address: Strandbadallee, 83329 Waging am See). It is a bit smaller, but the trees offer plenty of protection from hot summer days, which makes a nice change from a beach holiday . A small kiosk and the nearby Strandkurhaus take care of the physical well-being of the players.
Hours of Waging
Waging am See: From May to October 3rd daily from 2 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m.
