Straubinger Haus - Klausenberg plus Fellhorn summit hike

From the starting point we start on the left for a short distance in the direction of the village and turn left twice. We follow the main road B 305 in the direction of Ruhpolding. After two short descents, we turn right towards the district of Blindau. We cycle via Blindau to the Klausenberg Alm.

There, where the route to Kössen turns right at km 4.9, we keep left towards Eggenalm/ Kreuzanger, always on the forest road. After km 8.1 we reach a beautiful vantage point below the Weißensteinalm. We have already climbed 400 meters and the view sweeps from the Tiroler Ache river over the peaks of Kitzbühler Horn and Unterberg.

On the western slope of the Klausenberg we ride slightly downhill until at km 10.2 our way to the left follows the signs for Kreuzanger/ Eggenalm. It is now 5.5 km steadily uphill and we gain over 600 meters in altitude until we reach the highest point just before the Straubinger Haus. The magnificent vantage point at the Straubinger Haus invites you to take a break and summit collectors can climb the Fellhorn on foot from here.

The way back is easy on the forest road in the direction of the Hindenburghütte restaurant, further on in the direction of the Nattersbergalm, along the serpentines down into the valley to Seegatterl. Return on the beautiful cycle path 7 km to the starting point.
