Tour description:

Alpine circular tour. Refreshment options: Petereralm (*); Berggasthof Streichen (unfortunately no refreshment possible at the moment due to renovation work); (*) typical alpine snack during the alpine grazing season. Achental hiking badge checkpoint: Achberg, Samerrast, Streichen (mountain inn). Special features: Historic Streichen church; Picturesque mountain panorama of the Geigelstein and Breitenstein; Magnificent view of the Wilder Kaiser. Description: The starting point is the lower Streichen car park. The path leads along the forest road past the Haideralm to a junction in front of the Chiemhauser Alm. To the right, the path continues past the Petereralm across an alpine meadow and further down to the Bäckeralm. From there, a steep climb leads up directly to the Streichen. Once at the top, hikers can expect a wonderful panorama of the Geigelstein mountain area as well as another Schleching landmark - the historic Streichen church of St. Servatius with frescoes and a Gothic altar. This is definitely worth a "trip". The view to the south towards the Wilder Kaiser is also magnificent. The way back can be chosen as dust-free as the way up, or you can follow the road directly to the upper and lower Streichen car park. Due to extensive renovation work, it is unfortunately not possible to stop off at the Berggasthof Streichen at the moment.
