Bathing fun for young and old
Thanks to its depth of only 19 meters , the Tachinger See reaches a water temperature of up to 27C in summer and is therefore, together with the Waginger See, the warmest lake in Bavaria. Thanks to the pleasant water temperatures, "frostbite" also get their money's worth here.
With its idyllic mountain panorama , the lake is one of the insider tips among lidos and has two natural lidos in Taching and Tengling . In addition to the excellent water quality , all bathing enthusiasts can expect two well-equipped bathing areas where bathing fun for young and old is guaranteed.
There are also plenty of opportunities outside of the water: try your luck at boules , work out at table tennis or cruise leisurely across Lake Taching in a hired boat .
With the bike once around the Tachinger See
The beautiful landscape in the east of the Chiemgau not only invites you to go swimming but is also ideal for a hike or a bike tour .
The Waginger See-Rundweg takes you almost traffic-free for 25 km around the Waginger See and Tachinger See . If you only want to cycle around the Tachinger See, you cycle over the pier near Tettenhausen and thus shorten the tour to around 7 km. Numerous restaurants and lake terraces along the lake shore invite you to take a break. End your bike tour with a detour to the St. Colomann church , which is located on a small hill north of Lake Taching. From here you can enjoy a fantastic view over the lake and the surrounding mountains .
