The forest road (path no. 9) begins at a small car park on the right-hand side and takes you steadily uphill to the Aßbergalm. Here you turn right and first go through the forest, then over beautiful alpine meadows to the Stoibenmöseralm. Shortly afterwards you reach the Sauermöseralm and turn left here. You will soon reach the Taubensee, which you walk around and on the opposite side you return to Oberwössen via the Luftbodensteig. Another option would be to descend via the Kroatensteig. To do this, walk a little way towards the Taubenseehütte and after about 100 m keep right. From the Stoibenmöseralm you have a wonderful view of the Chiemsee. You should definitely take the short stretch of path to the Taubenseehütte, as this is where the wonderful panorama of the Tyrolean mountains opens up.
