Summit tour Hochplatte (from Hochplattenbahn cable car station)

Varied summit tour with ascent assistance: From the mountain station of the Hochplattenbahn, we first go along the forest road and later along the Plattensteig to the summit of the Hochplatte. There we enjoy a panoramic view from the Chiemgau Alpine foothills with the Chiemsee to neighboring Tyrol and, if the weather is good, to the main Alpine ridge. To the west, the Kampenwand is prominent. Descent southwards, past the Teufelsstein in the direction of Oberauer Brunst. At the junction, turn left in the direction of Weitwiesalm. A short distance after the path turns into a forest path, we turn left again to the Huberalm. From there, continue towards Marquartstein and the Kaiserblick lookout point. From there, continue on the forest road down to the valley station of the Hochplattenbahn and thus back to the valley town of our starting point.
