Tour description:

Town Hall Square - Richard Strauss Höhenweg - Marquartstein - Tiroler Ache - Town Hall Square From the Town Hall Square in Unterwössen, take the Hochgernweg and the Gruber Weg to the start of the "Richard Strauss Höhenweg" (trail no. 1), which commemorates the famous composer. After a slight incline, you hike northwards about 100 metres above the valley and enjoy a wonderful panorama with a view of Unterwössen or the striking Geigelstein on the almost flat path. Once you reach Marquartstein Castle, it goes steeply downhill to Marquartstein. The picturesque path along the wintry Tiroler Ache is recommended as the way back.
