The family-run Hofbräuhaus Traunstein has been brewing from the best Bavarian raw materials and with a lot of love and passion for over 400 years in the heart of Traunstein's old town : the purest spring water from the Traunsteiner Hochberg, fine aromatic hops from the brewery's own fields in the Holledau and exclusively Bavarian quality malt - all these are high-quality ingredients the Traunsteiner Hofbräuhaus beers. The open fermentation and a time-consuming cold sedimentation complete the unique taste of the beers.
Experience beer with the Hofbräuhaus Traunstein:
During the brewery tour with a visit to the brewery museum and beer tasting in the Maximilianstüberl, you can experience with all your senses what the traditional art of brewing means and look over the shoulder of our brewers. The friendly, knowledgeable hosts provide many interesting facts and stories as well as unforgettable impressions along the way.
Various stations entitled " Discover beer and the art of brewing " give an insight into the traditional brewing trade and the exciting history in the heart of the beer town of Traunstein. And of course the peculiarities of the local raw materials and the refining processes of brewing. The historical malt floor, the brewhouse with gleaming copper pans, the fermenting cellar with the open tanks, the storage cellar with the mighty horizontal tanks, the bottling of bottles and barrels as well as historical scenes of old craft guilds such as the coopers and pichen are all there.
Of course, a tasting of the great beers should not be missing.
- Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m
- Saturday: 11:00 a.m
- " After work tour " on Monday and Thursday at 6:00 p.m
Participation is only possible with prior registration .
New are the special tastings of five beers with a beer connoisseur certificate three times a month and a monthly VIP brewmaster tasting with one of the brewmasters as a very special experience.
Special tours can be arranged by prior arrangement.
Beer shop in the farm:
Everything to do with the Hofbräuhaus Traunstein, beer specialties and "beery" souvenirs such as beer chocolate is available in the brewery's own beer shop.
Bräustüberl on the town square
The world is still in order there: right on the Traunstein town square, the landlords Petra and Rudi Zeif serve freshly tapped beer specialties and original Bavarian inn cuisine in the cozy dining room and on the beer garden terrace.
