Loop of Chapels

Starting at the parish church (St.Pankratius) past the water lily pond you get to the War Memorial Chapel, walk at the same height westwards along the mountain slope.

The path leads past the Johannis Hill vantage point and ends in Birnbacher Straße, which we follow.  Kronbichler chapel is located here - built in 1694, with red chalk drawings on the outside and inside by a humble hand.

We follow the road just before the border and down the valley to Unterbichl, where we find a plague column from the plague period in the 17th century when we turn onto Tiroler Straße.

After a short walk towards the village, we turn right at the Mayrhaus and hike into the Lofertal valley, where we turn left to the Krautloider bridge. Here we cross the Lofer river and continue southwards to the Benzeck - Stüberl.

Our next destination is Altblindau with the chapel "Maria Hilft" from 1855. Now head north to Blindauer Straße, which leads downhill, where a plague column can be seen again. At the crossroads, turn right into Steinbachweg as far as the Liebertinger Bridge.

Continue over the bridge to the right to the junction with the B 305 and the small, round-walled St. Leonhard chapel. Not far from the chapel, Entfeldener Straße branches off, which we take to Entfelden, where we can visit the chapel "The Seven Sorrows of Mary" from 1825.

We return home to town via the hamlet of Pötschbichl and the panorama trail.
