The Chiemgau mountains in one tour – only for really tight calves.
Tour description:
If you can't get enough of crisp, steep climbs and fast descents, the Chiemgau Marathon is the right choice, because it's all about altitude. Nevertheless, you shouldn't miss the sights along the way: the Maria Eck pilgrimage monastery, the Chiemgau Arena biathlon center or the lumberjack museum in the Laubau. And then there are the many cozy alpine pastures that tempt you with fine delicacies, the Schwarzachen-, Keitl- and Reiteralm, the Röthelmoosalmen and the Winkelmoosalm. And if you find it too hot during the tour, you can simply jump into the cooling Weitsee. Bike and Swim: Swimming opportunity in the Weitsee
Many places to stop for refreshments along the way (typical alpine operations from around June to September):

A tour of the Chiemgau Arena (registration required) provides interesting insights into the world of top biathlon sport: www.chiemgau-arena.de
The Lumberjack Museum (Laubau) offers fascinating insights into the deprived life and dangerous work of the lumberjacks (woodworkers, foresters) in the former Traunstein saltworks area. On the large outdoor area you feel like you have been transported back to a bygone era in the lovingly prepared wooden rooms, the original workshops and interactive stations: www.holzknechtmuseum.com
